Just hours left until we learn which Single is the winner of our Song of 2017 contest. Before that, we take a look at what happened to us this year. Summary.
OMG! It’s hard to imagine but another year just passed by, so – just hours before the end of our Song of 2017 contest – we decided to take a quick journey showing you what happened to us during this year.
One of the biggest changes was launching an independent website after 2 years at Magyar Nemzet – daily. It was a real challenge with unknown consequences but I guess we made it. If we didn’t do it you couldn’t read any kinda English article either. And that’s the key, I believe it is the biggest achievement getting an independent music site about the Hungarian underground scene and newcomers with a proper English Edition. I’m so proud that we created it: first and only! And I have to tell you that we couldn’t do it as consistently as we are doing without the enthusiastic work of our English Editor, Károly Gergely!
I’m also happy that after years of tough struggle, we have an ongoing authorial collective now. So without the articles of Dani Balogh, Bence Bodó, Gábor Huszár, Bence Penke, Krisztián Serfőző and Tamás Tóth, we couldn’t achieve this years’ stats:

• 31 with an English version
• 62 Hungarian bands
• 13 International performers
• 26 Exclusive premiers
• 30 Reviews
• 30k Unique readers
And one more thing we can promise – 2018 will be even more catchy and even more rocking. We do our best to create prime content for you guys. I hope you enjoyed this year, keep coming back – follow and read us on 2018 as well.
